Dr Michael Abiola Okunlola graduated MB.CHB from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo Universiy), Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 1986.He had his Residency Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University College Hospital, Ibadan,Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the  highly acclaimed medical  National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and the West African College of Surgeons in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Okunlola is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecolgy at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan and Honourary Consultant to the University College Hospital, Ibadan,Nigeria.

He is presently Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Commitee at the University College Hospital in charge of Clinical Services and also Co-Chair of the Hospital/University Ethical Review Committee.His area of Research interest is Fertility Research and Endocrinology  where he has been published widely both Internationally and Locally.

He is married to Dr Adenike Okunlola and they are blessed with two girls.
