Dr Scott has mentored generations of accomplished Nigerian doctors in Nigeria and abroad for over forty years. He has won numerous international and national awards. As an eminent physician-scientist who straddles two worlds of medicine Dr Scott-Emuakpor espoused the principles that diasporal professionals give back generously to West Afrika.

Dr Scott-Emuakpor is a great proponent of e-Telemedicine as one of the cost effecient tools for promoting better health care access across West Afrika.

He was the Former Director of Clinical Services and Training, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Former Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, University of Benin Teaching Hospital. He was also a former Member, Nigerian Medical and Dental Council.
